Potential Canada Post Service Disruption and Delivery Delays
MARKHAM, ON – May 7, 2025 – The City of Markham is aware of a potential Canada Post service disruption in May and is actively monitoring the situation. In the event of a disruption, mail deliveries, including property tax bills and paper statements, may experience delays.
Our priority is to ensure that residents and businesses can access City services and programs with minimal interruption. If you have inquiries about City services affected by postal disruptions, please contact Markham's Customer Service Centre at 905.477.5530 or customerservice@markham.ca.
To avoid late payment fines, use an alternate payment method, such as, in-person or online.

Committee of Adjustment
For a potential Canada Post labour disruption, notices of upcoming Committee of Adjustment meetings will not be provided by standard mailing. Pursuant to the legislative requirements of the Planning Act, as amended, and as outlined in O.Regs 197/96 and 200/96, respectively, a Notice of Hearing may be provided by posting it, with the time and date of the meeting, on the City’s website.
Notices for upcoming Committee of Adjustment meetings may be found on the Meeting Agendas, Minutes, and Staff Reports portion of the Committee of Adjustment website. Notices will be posted approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled hearing date.
